Playing Duo

Playing on one piano with four hands
is a great passion and challenge.

Gives musicians the opportunity to present
the entire range of sounds and colours
that the instrument has to offer.
It is like one organizm with four hands.

But playing on two pianos
- that’s a whole orchestra!

We invite you to further explore
this beautiful world...

DUET FORTEPIANOWY TO WIELKA PASJA I WYZWANIE.

GRAJĄC NA JEDNYM FORTEPIANIE NA CZTERY RĘCE
PIANIŚCI MAJĄ MOŻLIWOŚĆ ZAPREZENTOWAĆ WSZYSTKIE
WALORY BRZMIENIOWE I KOLORYSTYCZNE INSTRUMENTU.
TO JEDEN ORGANIZM O CZTERECH RĘKACH...

...ALE GRANIE NA DWA FORTEPIANY - TO DOPIERO ORKIESTRA!

ROZWIŃCIE TEN TEMAT SAMI -
POLECAMY I ZAPRASZAMY.

DUO GRANAT-KREDA

BIOGRAPHY
Pianists Tamara Granat and Adrian Kreda have known each other for 25 years.
They share the same passion for the piano duet, a common need for expression and – most importantly – a strong will and drive to realize complex and thematic projects.
As a duet, they have performed concerts and recitals across Poland and in numerous European countries, showcasing both their musical visions and projects, as well as a classic repertoire for one piano and four hands. In December 2016, Duo Granat gave a Polish premiere performance of Max Bruch’s Concerto for Two Pianos in E-flat minor Op. 88a alongside the Symphonic Orchestra of the Częstochowa Philharmonic and conductor Gerardo Estrada.
The duet’s artistic activity resulted in numerous CD and DVD recordings. In 2015, Duo Granat recorded the Destiny album with music for two pianos by Astor Piazzolla and Carlos Guastavino. In 2016, the duet was the first ensemble in Poland to record all of W.A. Mozart’s sonatas ever written for four hands; the double-album was recorded at the chamber hall of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra building. In 2017, the pianists recorded the complete works of Mozart and Bach for two pianos together with the Prima Vista Quartet and Adam Bogacki -  the album was published by the Polish Radio Music Agency in Warsaw and is now available for purchase.
Another project launched by the duet is one that combines music with dance: the Maria de Buenos Aires Operita written by Astor Piazzolla, arranged by Adrian Kreda and featuring a mezzo-soprano, baritone, dance ensemble and percussion. The premiere of this performance took place on January 20th, 2018 at the chamber hall of the NOSPR in Katowice, Poland.
In the near future, Duo Granat-Kreda plans to record three more albums featuring a variety of musical pieces: Astor Piazzolla’s operita Maria de Buenos Aires for two pianos and percussion, National Polish Dances for four hands, and Schubertiade – an album encompassing music by Franz Schubert written for four hands.
